I am so looking forwards to cooler temperatures coming up in Autumn and Winter. Altho some new problems are taking money away from boat stuff, some work just needs time outside, where it's been dangerously too hot the last few months.
So what will the rest of you be doing in the next 4 months?

My own agenda includes building 2 different digester systems, finishing an aquaponics system, and setting up a greenhouse with hydroponics, using the effluent from one of the digesters.
While that is going on, I hope to have a set of hurricane resistant house.
While that is being done, after finishing the greenhouse/digester/etc., I also expect to be able to begin repairs to 'Bertha' the RV, packing everything away, searching for, buying, and moving to a better location for the incubator site, then beginning to build.

I recently found several small gasoline engines, suitable for powering somewhat heavy anchor takeup winches, or bow thrusters. It's going to take some work to make them run perfectly, i imagine, like at least clean the carbs (altho i'd prefer putting in fuel injectors, running them with propane (because it's cleaner)). Also found some Mercruiser I/O feets, four of them, and a couple Yamahas. Not in great condition, and i wouldn't trust those tiny gears out in the ocean anyhow, as evidenced by several of them missing teeth. But i have been accumulating (almost) free propellors, and needed the stainless steel splined shafts to put them on. It's something else that needs doing. Boats tend to need engines and propellors, and i cannot afford new.
