Things will inevitably end up in the sea. Minimizing negative environmental impact, in order to maintain a healthy, non-toxic locale is going to be a 'must'.

jeff: Been tinkering with 4G antenna designs to use with our Wilson Electronics booster. Not that it's worth a lot, but got my best connection yet, w/o any indicator showing amplifier overload from the cell towers. Nov 20, 2018 6:38:29 GMT
jeff: We live in a cabin made from a 40 ft shipping container... I highly discommend them as impractical. Nov 20, 2018 6:40:36 GMT
jeff: Still battling a bad cellphone tower and using my unlimited data with the laptop USB tethered to the cellphone... WHEN the tower is working properly, my so-called 'crap-tenna' is roughly 300% higher in performance than the commercial one. Dec 19, 2018 10:06:02 GMT
Kat: A few years ago on this forum, i was raked over the coals for a catamaran design with an adjustable deck, raising and lowering it for beach and dock landings, and ro-ro and fo-fo operations. The French military now has such a transport boat : https://www.n Aug 3, 2019 2:19:02 GMT

Note they say it's lowered "into the sea", but i suspect that may be a language translation error for "onto the surface",
Aug 3, 2019 2:20:46 GMT
Kat: while i did intend to lower my deck 2 to 4 feet below the surface, for floating on/off stuff unfit in some way for the ramps or cranes. Aug 3, 2019 2:23:52 GMT
Kat: Unfit for ramp:

katonbarge: So is anyone DOING anything? Oct 14, 2019 18:34:01 GMT
Kat: Has any one, or small group, floating around out of touch of land for a couple of months, caught Covid19? Mar 20, 2020 3:33:30 GMT
Kat: Watching a few civil engineering videos, lots of cranes, piers, trestles, radio towers, and wind turbine masts that are 100's of feet tall. Yet i am only one in favor of a 4-sided equalateral triangle, with lengths min 300ft, to lift homes 50ft above waves Mar 23, 2020 19:51:57 GMT
Kat: Really disappointed. Mar 23, 2020 19:55:57 GMT
Kat: Did anyone hear my suggestion to 10-year land lease, where no one wants to live, within a mile or two of a boat ramp, with the understanding nothing (cept praps gravel roads) is made permanent on the land? As seastead support, make everything floatable. Mar 25, 2020 0:35:59 GMT

jeff: Weird. I have not been getting any notifications... Apr 6, 2020 2:16:28 GMT
kat: I SOOOOOOOOOOO need a base near the water that i can drag hunks of boat to, and assemble into one boat, and then launch. May 22, 2020 3:11:26 GMT
kat: I no longer believe there is anyone interested in seasteading. I still want to escape the trash fires, gunfire, and aggressive dogs, and i still believe the only safe clean place is the ocean. May 27, 2020 0:48:49 GMT
kat: Mobile county Alabama reported 886,000 gallons of sewage leaked into
the local waterways due to tropical storm Cristobal. Shame, the bay and the local ICW there is huge and looks wonderful for supporting seasteading, and the continental shelf is shallow.
