I figure everyone has seen how you unload a ship load of logs in only four seconds, but for those who haven't .... imgur.com/gallery/uO6mWvni.imgur.com/Hemty1O.gifwww.youtube.com/watch?v=HH1rhkbWxhM&feature=youtu.beIt's all about controlled flooding of ballast tanks on one side, a plain flat steel deck, enough room to perform the operation, and a few seconds to do it. This happens in car carriers too, when they don't make each car captive,,, a rough sea leans the ship over, and all the cars mimic billiard balls in the ship. Humans don't learn, if the logs were chained to the ship, they would not slide off, and if the cars were chained down, they'd stay put too.
