I question their transmittance efficency, up-front costs, and quantity of delivered "healthy sunlight". Versus, of course, any other normal electrical light you can think of to mount in the same place in the ceiling. Can't decide, they provide no numbers.
I have some optical fiber, a length 10ft long is too long to see a 1watt white led at the other end. At a foot long, you can see a few 100mw easily if you are looking right into the end of the fiber, but it wouldn't be enough light to generate any power.
Your fiber may be different. The website you mention shows 4 stories of light transmittance. I find that highly unlikely.
