I will check though solar cities on Facebook as I have been having trouble getting info on smaller sized/higher voltage solar modules, and I also wonder if I could generate solar electricity to produce hydrogen gas, how to do that safely - maybe find a process that combines making a liquid hydrocarbon for long term hydrogen storage.

I think you'll find that the process of producing a liquid hydrocarbon will take more energy than it can reasonably store, making for an expensive net loss (assuming you mean something like gasoline). However, a combination of bio-fuels may be possible, considering Methane and Bio-Butanol can BOTH be anaerobic digester products...
